Cocktail lovers are in for a taste explosion as the finest cocktail venues in Cape Town come together with top brands to bring you South Africa’s 2nd Annual Cocktail Week.
The week long festival will kick off on Saturday, 4 November, with 20 pop up bars lining trendy Jarvis Street in De Waterkant to bring you a one night only showcase of signature cocktails at the city’s premium bars. The Grand Opening event will begin at 4:30pm and end at 10:30pm. There will be interactive cocktail activities, top DJs and delicious food on offer.
For the rest of the week, ticket holders are encouraged to visit the 10 partner venues using their SACW wrist band to attend feature events, and redeem their 50% off signature cocktails. The likes of Asoka, Orphanage Cocktail Emporium, Cause & Effect, Primal Eatery and Burger & Lobster will have their top mixologists whipping up spectacular drinks to send your tastebuds on a tantalising journey. There are also cocktail tastings at the partner venues which cost between R15 and R30.
Cocktail lovers are encouraged to vote for their favourites in various categories throughout the night, this will result in the SA Cocktail Week Awards. The theme of the week is ‘responsible drinking’ which focuses on sustainability and the ‘refuse-the-straw’ campaign. In keeping with the theme there will be no straws available.
A one-of-a-kind event – SA Cocktail Week – has partnered up with Machangulo Beach Lodge to send one lucky couple to an all-inclusive, four-night getaway at the luxury lodge in Mozambique. All ticket holders will automatically be entered into the draw, which will take place at The Grand Opening. Tickets are available via Webtickets and you can use the CapeEtc20 promo code when purchasing to get an exclusive 20% discount off the original ticket price.
