The eatery was born from the minds of retailers and hospitality visionary, Abigal Bisogno, and her business partner, successful restauranteur, GP Singh. Bisogno explains: “The inspiration for The Yard came from my wine farm background, and my creation of the Spice Route Destination in Paarl, together with my partner’s experience in the food industry over the last 15 years.”
With Bisogno raised in the Cape Winelands and Singh from the Punjab in India, the two shared a combined love for collaboration.
“GP and I share a vision and passion for Euro-Asian cuisine that seeks to unify Asia-Insian-European flavours,” she explains. “We intend to make our new space in the Silo District the destination where this type of food and our unique brand of retail can be experience and enjoyed!”
