South African National Parks (SANParks) has recently launched a fresh group travelling programme, packed with discounts and favourable payment terms!

You’ve been stuck indoors for too long, and you’re tired of getting your dose of ‘exploration’ from Instagram’s explore page. However, you also just went through a global pandemic that has your wallet holding pennies tight.

Well, SANParks has something quite tasty on offer for the travelling-hungry that might peak the interest of you and your friends.

SANParks has recently launched a new Stokvels & Travel Clubs programme, where groups will receive discounts at selected parks and camps, for special payment terms.

What makes it different from the regular group travel you’ve come to know and perhaps not be able to afford? Well, Managing Executive: Tourism Development and Marketing, Hapiloe Sello announced that “unlike the traditional group travel that allows a group of individuals travelling together, our new Stokvel & Travel Club product allows a group of ten or more people to contribute money towards a combined visit to our parks on a future date of their choice.”

So a group of us is putting money together beforehand, and get special discounts?

Yes, precisely. Over 800 000 people have registered already to embark on the offer!

What are the benefits?

  • If you don’t have the money to pay a huge deposit, don’t stress. SANParks’ Stokvels & Travel Clubs programme offers adjusted payment terms and amazing discounts to registered groups.
  • You can receive 20% discounts at selected parks and camps.

Including:

Addo Elephant National Park

  • Matyholweni Rest Camp

Garden Route National Park

  • Wilderness Ebb-and-Flow Rest Camp

Kruger National Park

  • Skukuza Safari Lodge

The offers all include fully furnished accommodation, comfortable camp sides and or activities for travel groups.
