You may have seen a towering building blocking out the usual harbour views in Cape Town last week. Only it wasn’t a building… it was the Queen Mary 2 cruise liner, which docked at Cape Town Harbour for two nights before setting off on its transatlantic journey.
The Cape {Town} Etc team were lucky enough to board this amazing vessel to bring you a sneak peek at life on deck – and believe us when we say, it’s absolutely breathtaking! As tall as a 23-storey building with a length of four football fields, the liner boasts 172 suites, two restaurants, a buffet area, a bar, library, planetarium, theatre, gym, spa, three on-deck pools, a ballroom, shopping area, casino and art gallery – whew!
Take a look here, then let us know if you’d be keen to board her the next time she sets sail from Cape Town.
