The Western Cape dam levels have continued to drop this week, 1% lower than last week, and 2% less than 2 weeks ago. Capacity levels are currently at 32.42%, making water storage in the Western Cape dams below the ‘one-third full’ mark.

The water crisis has reached a seriously low level – we are almost half way to taps being turned off when dam levels read 13.5%.

Level 6 water restrictions will come into effect in less than a month on 1 January 2018, with a water levy expected in February 2018.
