The latest Cape Town dam levels as of Monday, 18th September 2017.
After a dry week lacking any significant rainfall, there was a slight increase in dam levels this week. Across the board, a collective increase of 0.4% was observed since last Monday.
Despite nearly 10mm of rainfall occurring at Theewaterskloof last week, the dam level there was raised only by 0.1%, while the Steenbras dams decreased ever-so slightly. It was a relatively dry week for central Cape Town and surrounds, with this week’s predictions for rain remaining slim. We have most certainly passed the bulk of our rainfall season, with temperatures now beginning to warm up and the summery south-easter returning.

As of Monday last week, dam levels were collectively at 37.2% – an improvement of 2.1% following the previous week. Residents are strongly advised to adhere to level 5 water restrictions which are still in place.
