Dam levels have continued to rise this week by pushing past the 74% mark to reach 74.2%, compared to the stark contrast of 37.5% from this time last year.
The good news seems to keep coming as forecasts have the Mother City receiving downpours starting from today well into Friday evening.
Locals can enjoy the next few days of rainy weather while looking forward to a warmer weekend with temperatures between 18 and 27°C in store for Saturday and Sunday.
In the meantime, residents are happy to let the rainfall and continue watching the dams flow.
