After a rainy weekend where a small splash of rainfall found its way to the Mother City, dam levels remain unmoved but steady with more rain on it’s way.
The rainy weather didn’t miss Cape Town this past weekend but it also didn’t push the levels up all too much.
Some dams experiencing a slight drop such as the Steenbras Lower and Wemmershoek and others such as Vloevlei pushing up slightly. The overall storage percentage is still at 56.9% – the same level it sat at last week.
The good news, however, is that there is more rain on the horizon for the Western Cape. SA Weather has forecast a cold front bringing in some chilly weather conditions as well as some bountiful rain.

Weather services are expecting the cold front to bring a good volume of rain to the region reaching up to 20 or 30mm in some areas. Capetonians wait in anticipation for the dam levels to pick up from tomorrow when rain is expected to hit from the early morning.
