The City of Cape Town has announced that Level 6 water restrictions will begin from January 2018, as we inch closer to Day Zero each month. A drought charge is also expected to come into effect from February 2018. The City has said Cape Town will reach Day Zero by March 2018.
In a video released by the City of Cape Town, they map out what their plans are for retrieving more water and what happens if we reach Day Zero.
Day Zero is looming. Watch the video to find out what will happen if we reach Day Zero and what the City has been doing to prevent it. Thank you to residents who have been saving water where they can. Together, we can #ThinkWaterCT and avoid Day Zero. pic.twitter.com/tHzjz8zgcJ
