Before COVID-19 existed, locals and tourists would always be on Lion’s head to get a glimpse of the breathtaking views of the sunrise and sunset. Once you arrive on the top of the mountain you are welcomed by fresh air, skyscrapers, and some of the cities most famous landmarks such as the Cape Town stadium and Rodden Island.

Lion’s head takes about 2-3 hours to complete, therefore it is advisable to start as early as possible before the sunset. In addition to this, hikers are encouraged to walk in groups and carry water and snacks.
