#HighburyHearsYou – we at Cape Town Etc are passionate about getting local restaurants back and booming in business. As part of our #HighburyHearsYou initiative, we’re dishing out the deets on some incredible restaurants in and around town.

Cape Town is world-famous for our wine farms. Whether you are privy to a glass of red, love a smooth chardonnay or prefer to indulge in the sweet bliss that is rosé, the Mother City has got you covered.

However, should you not be inclined to the wine scene, not to worry. If you’re in the mood for an eclectic day of adult beverages, the booze scene won’t leave you disappointed. From beer to gin and even brandy, there is something to tickle every tastebud.

Take a look at these lesser-known – but well worth investigating – tasting establishments in the Cape.

Visit the Boland for a reason other than wine this time. Here, you can even go on a guided tour to learn more about the fascinating process. You can watch the resident cooper practise barrel-making and see how brandy is distilled in a 19th century Cognac potstill. Then treat yourself to a taste of pure class.
