Who doesn’t love spending their days watching Netflix while chilling on the couch and eating ice cream? Unfortunately, this is not something we can do all the time. To help you become more productive and smash those goals, here are a few techniques that may boost your productivity.
The Pomodoro:
This is a great time management technique that breaks your day up into 25-minute segments with 5-minute breaks. The idea is to get as much done in 20-minutes as you can and then take a 5-minute break. These segments are called pomodoros. After around four pomodoros, it’s time to take a longer break of about 15 to 20 minutes. This technique helps to create a sense of urgency when completing tasks.
Bullet Journal:
The bullet journal is a multi-purpose organizational system that works as a notebook and a to-do list. It can be a great way to keep track of everything in your life. Your bullet journal can be tailored to your needs and can be used as a journal, planner, sketchbook or a place to jot down your goals.
Have a good morning routine:
Take control of your mornings by establishing a routine. This will help you get motivated and ready for a productive day ahead. Create a routine that helps you to establish habits that will improve the quality of your life. A great example of this is meditating or exercising each morning to get your mind and body centred.
Don’t Multitask:
Scoffing down your lunch while trying to finish that sales report while talking to your colleague can leave you feeling drained, or worse, hungry. Productivity can only be achieved when you’re paying attention to a single task and giving it your all. Create a list of tasks that you need to complete and prioritize them accordingly. One way to get ahead is to create your to-do list the night before, prioritizing them and getting started the minute you’re ready for the day.
